haha. these are an industrial engine not your average ford or chevy v8 diesel.
hey your truck looks awesome in your photos ! , your profile says you live in Osoyoos . I was just there a coupe months ago !!
I have had it for about 4 months now , and my plans are to make it a nice truck and keep it for as long as possible....I only spent 2000 on it , and it needs new windshield and it needs some rust repair in some spots ... has 340*** K , and the engine runs awesome ! ... i am going to replace everyting like the gaskets , nd plugs and everything when i get some money ! and hopefully she will be a good truck when im about 20
Good luck with it man. Once you start playing with them there isnt any stoping. Its like a drug. There isnt anything quite like being thrown back in the seat when you hit the gas. And you will allways want more. I am not sure what gens have them (ford guy) but kill the kdp first if it still has it. Atleast thats what everyone says.
2nd gen 12v's are more known for the KDP due to the vibrations from the p pump. my old VE had 203k km on it n the KDP was still snug in it's home. On this p-pump motor I dropped in it was 1/3 of the way out.
None the less it should be done.
