Well just went and got new rubber hoses and a new master.. cheap money... you guys think I should go get an autozone special pump or spend the money and get a nice one! I just want to be done with this issue already I've been digging into my injector money and that is NFG!!
ne ways Im goin to do one at a time just to see if any indavidual thing fixes the problem... ill let you guys know how I make out!! thanks for all the help!!!!!

well the master and brake lines did me no justice!! so I guess ill be doing the booster and p/s pump tommorrow!

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

well should I even do the p/s pump because the vaccum pump is what pressurizes the booster Isnt it? so Im asuming that changing the p/s pump would do me no justice! but if the vac pump is bad i might as well do the pump also since its all connected!....

From what Ive read up on the hydraboost sytem came out in 97 so my 96 is run off of a vacuum pump that the ps pump shaft connects to as well, So seems to be pretty much the same crap just a diffrent toilet!

Hydroboost uses power steering pump pressure for the braking assist. Not vacuum, vacuum pump is only responsible for cruise, HVAC, and 4wd actuation. Do you have a problem with steering? Stiff steering you can pretty much count on a PS pump.

same happened to me and i didnt figure out till it was a bit late and lost my brakes ps and steering box but the original problem was the hydro boost the ps system runs through it and when it fails will cause the pump pressure to back up giving you the fluid out of the cap and eventually the pump shaft to bind and break. hope it helps oh and the vac system runs the abs so that would cause the brakes to lock up

well im just updating my status guys! I replaced the master steel lines, rubber lines, and the proportining valves . and my breaks are working great now!! my guess is it was the pcv as the guy at the dealer called it, the valve were the big harness plug connects he said that that was the most popular item going out the door for the 94-96 trucks without hydraboost!.... well hope this helps someone in the future , Thanks to everyone once again for the help and info very much apreciated!!
