Hey guys ive got the 98 running down the road again and now im having issues with the steering. it was supposed to have a completely new front end back in february of this year but its got over a half of turn of play in the steering wheel. i have been told i can tighten up my steering box but i have heard horror stories about if its over-tightened that people have lost all steering while driving. i just want it to handle decent because it is a royal pain in the *** trying to keep this thing on the road!!! especially trying to pull a trailer!! what can i replace or adjust safely to get my tight steering back? thanks... make small adjustments to the steering box there is a screw on the top of the box to take slack out do it a turn at a time

 

Is the truck a 2wd or 4wd?..
I also agree with making the box adjustments a little at a time.
