Default low speed jump.

hey guys, i know this happens every once in a while with a stick, but why when i take off in first gear it feels like the motor wants to jump and the whole truck does and i have to throw in the clutch. even when i let it warm up fully it does this.
any ideas?

I have a issue with that alot when my truck sits and the air is high in humidity.

The agressive clutch material and the steel floater plates are a way that causes the clutch to act very agressively when you first pull out after it has sat during a high humidity day/night.The rust has a tendency to form more quickly on those types of night and when you start the truck and pull out it will engage very quickly or cause the truck to "jump''.It will also cause the bigger singles and doubles to chatter when you back up if you need to when you first start it.I also have heard to clutches actually chirp when you have days/night or leave the truck parked for a long time.

What are you running for a clutch now?.....

the iron faced clutches like haisley and the new south bend units are known to squeal...

but yeah like hammer said it could be alot like when your rotors are rusty from sitting for a while and they are really grabby when you first use them.
