First I don't know much about making a cummins pull good.

But if there's one thing I've learned it's to do things in strides and do the best you can.

The class I pull in is unlimited single 3.0 twins. I get beat by a lot of trucks at every pull but it's all about consistency.

This year the top two trucks were duramaxes that were well over 800hp. But the truck that got third was setup similar to mine and made just under 600.

If your jb a points race it's more imprtant to make it to every pull than if is to win.

yeah if your wanting to pull 2.6 just dont try ohio.... there is stupid money over here.... im from eastern ohio and if you dont have 20k in the motor you aint placing...... im going to be close to those guys... the central ohio people that im looking at look easier than eastern ohio but there are still some stiff competition....

im builing a streetable build on mine.... huge injectors, custom 2.6 turbo, then a 72mm to drive on the street, cam, a nasty pump, 5k GSK, head work out the waazoo..... lazer cuts, im doing a 13mm.... we are aiming for 800+..... then a nice valet switch to drive it.... i have a crazy automatic in my truck.... its a manual vb with a gate shifter so i cant help ya much on the clutch

mr durallymax above me..... where are ya from? we have super street trucks here (single unlimited/twins to a size) making over 1300hp.... i will post a vid off the one team that i pit crew for.....

and yes this is a single turbo truck

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

here is our typical 2.6 class trucks...... this is the eastern ohio side

you don't need to balance the engine for 5k because you will only see that rpm comming off the line.

As for the fire rings, if your gonna street drive it use o rings insted

I'm from Wisconsin. The group I run with is BTPA. I may be making some hooks with BSTPA this year as well.

Here's a couple vies of our group running, most of the truism are shown between the two videos. The trucks range from stock to full blown puller. The super street class is the only class we have.

this next pull was a hard one, the track was a bitin SOB and tore up the front end of my truck.

I run an itpa 3.0 truck, making 1200+ at the crank, and it is nuts seeing these 2.6 trucks not far behind our trucks, i think we need to regulater the classes a little more, make it more conservative, i mean beseides some suspension mods and turbo size the 2.6 and 2.8 are the same.

thats very true, the 2.6 is not the entry level class anymore. Lots of 2.8 guys are dropping to the 2.6

Default thats true

you know its fine to have a full time puller. Id love to have one myself but id like to just go an play a lil. An the way stuff is set up at the tracks is a little out of hand. I drive to the track with my wife an boys in a single cab truck to pull. An guess what most of the trucks are hauled in with the hole name thing on the side. Well i know it takes $ to play. but they really need to find out some how to make this fair. for the ol feller out to just have a good time with out getting spanked to death. well that must be the way it is. the more jack the more power. So is it just a game on who can poor the most money into a truck or what.If thats the case the little guys like me should watch a drink a beer. But thats hard to do when pullin is in your blood. well i think thats all.

You can build a competitve engine very cheap compared to what big shops charge. You just need to know where to spend the money and what parts are actually need and whats not and what to focus on.
