How Heavy Have You Towed?
I pulled from Alaska all the way to Virgina with my first gen cummins. Truck and trailer was just over 22,000, and she ran at about 12 mpg. I think that put the trailer at around 17,000, cause the old dodge is only around 5,000.
towed her home from manchester NH back home to boohbay, ME... about a 6 hour round trip... but my truck is 2500HD with a 6.0L gas. she seemed to tow it alright.

Hauled a 1966 Chrysler imperial and a 78 new yorker on a 40ft GN from Pheonix to Rock Springs WY with the 97 in my sig. Cars weighed about 6600 each and the trailer weighed 7000.
Pulled a loaded truck out of a snow drift in a pull out next to the raod. When i started pulling his trailer tires were just sliding, he forgot to release the brakes.

52,000 lbs max on an 05 dodge didn't haul too far just 60 miles. them autos suck every other oil change there went a tranny.
. hauled a bunch over 40,000 with a 98 cab & chassis dodge. i never met a hay hauler that didn't want to just put a few more bales on.

Ten concrete blocks weighing 2300 lbs. each. Truck and trailer weight around 12,000. I also pull two s220 bobcats with buckets on them at a time. They are probably around 9000 each with buckets.
This is on a triple axle 24 ft. trailer with 7000 lb. axles. I don't go far with this kind of weight.

They heaviest I had hauled was a full size backhoe on a 40 foot tandem trailer. trailer alone is over 8k. Last month I hauled 7 bundles of railroad ties at 20 ties per bundle some good some bad. Either way trailer was bowing I had 8 on and had them take one off. Don't want to know the weight just didn't want to get caught. All I can say is one end is very heavy on these ties definetely can't lift one by myself. Pic is in my profile. Truck was running 900-1000 degrees on flat land at 55. 140 ties if each one is 200 pounds load alone was 28k plus truck and trailer if each one was 150 load would be 21k plus truck and trailer.
