Kinda old but those Russians like their vodka, wouldn't be the first with only two gas ports or one gas port clogged up.

Mine shoot flawless.

just checked mine over the weekend and it was a 2 port, wouldn't cycle any "sporting clays" loads. did not try high brass or buckshot or slugs.

i just drilled 2 smaller holes to make it a "4 port" configuration, so I have 2 large and 2 small holes, if I need more gas I will drill out one of the 2 small holes to be the size of the 2 large holes.

I haven't shot it since I found this out. makes me want to go around to pawn shops and ask if they have any Saiga's that won't cycle and see if I can buy them cheap since they don't work properly.

you can put an auto plug in a 2 port gun and it will fail miserably.... the auto plug only works properly when there is adequate gas being introduced to the gas system. and under gassed gun will always be under gassed not matter what type of plug you install.

My cousin enlarge the gas port on my SAIGA-12 & then installed the auto-plug
