And no, I haven't started yet. Just been waiting for the TIG welder at school to get fixed. I'm really tempted to just wait and make them out of steel.

FordDZLMan919 - That's what I wanted to do originally, but for us 3rd gen guys, the whole filler neck is run exactly where I'd need to cut the driver's side hole.
acblair801 - I was going to run mine over the rails but under the bed by using a rectangular tube. Wrap the section of pipe going over the tank with Cerawool (ceramic high temp insulation, used in thermal ovens for industrial molding, etc).
crusty_critter - Thanks! Been very pleased with how they turned out and sound. Professional you say? Perhaps.....

When I bought my truck and was trying to figure out how to dual pipe it into dual stacks(since I don't have a turbo) I thought about drilling a hole through the frame rail then welding in a piece of pipe and attaching flex pipe on both sides then the pipes would be outside the frame rails but would not hang down and I wouldn't have to worry about crunching them when I go play in the mountains. Wasn't too sure about drilling and welding the frame though.
