i have an 01 dodge cummins 24v "the 53 block" (5spd) manual with 211,000 wen it sits for awhile it cranks foreverrr and sometimes will puff white smoke out the exhaust. ive been reading alot on the forum but cannot find my exact issue. the person i bought it from a ecently replaced the injection pump, but its done it since i bought it. when it is drivin it runs fine and starts fine if i shut it off and let it set for a little bit. its got a lift pump i think is wat it is up on the driver side of the block which works cause when i bump the key u can hear it run just fine, and even when i bump the key and let that run for awhile it still starts hard.
