Default 94 F350 dually 7.3L turbo (rearend swap)

hey guys...im new the site.....i have located a truck and it has some rearend problems....i talked to the guy on the phone and he told me that the pinion gear was broken....i was thinking about just buying a used rear from someone or a salvage yard...and was wondering if there was any other rearends (axle assembly) that would fit this truck other than one from a 94 f350?......any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated......thanks...JJ

rearends for that should be fairly plentiful. just need to find the make of it. it will be a dana 60 or an AAM 11.5 or whatever, at the local pull a part yards here they cost about $88 if u can haul it out. you just need to check what gears it has.

there should be quite a range of years that will fit since they used the same axles for a long time. the model number and gearing is what's important

the narrower one might have been from a dually.

good luck in your hunt, usually a junkyard axle is cheaper than doing new gears
