Well, I just purchased a 1997 Ford F-350, with the 7.3L Turbo Diesel.

Aside from condition, this truck is exactly what I was looking for. It's spec'd as follows:

• Regular Cab
• Manual Transmission
• 7.3L Diesel
• Dually

The body is in rough condition but the frame is solid and I got it cheap. There's also an oil leak coming from I don't know where that I'll have to look into.

It's not actually in my possession yet, it will be picked up with a trailer next weekend. I'll be looking at scheduling appointments for an etest and safety until then (it may need a couple things for the safety).

First thing I'm looking to do is make sure the engine is in top shape before I actually drive it anywhere. This is the first diesel I've owned. Where do I start? Fuel filter, air filter, oil change, etc.?

The truck will be used almost exclusively for towing (2,000lbs to 7,000lbs) after it gets on the road.
