this truck is a 2001 with 115k miles. the guy wants 14,000. has a brand new paint job, no rust at all anywhere. tan leather interior. 6 speed manual. no accidents, 2 owner truck. very nice shape. the guy wants 14k for it. the other ones ive found are pretty expensive but havent really looked much into 2nd gens

what are the common problems and everything needed to check for when i go to look at this truck wednesday? im very interested, but just dont know what im looking for. any advice and help is greatly appreciated! this is a good deal to pass up!!

also is there any way someone could check the carfax report on this vehicle?!

 

115K that thing is just broke in. If it dosn't have an aftermarket lift pump you'll want to do one and a low fp warning light.

 

im not sure about the lift pump. he said it had a airdog 150 on it. is that what your talking about? and also it has boost, pyro, and fuel pressure isspro ev2 guages.


this is off-topic, but its debadged completely, and i like the looks of the badges and the Dodge 4x4 on tailgate. any damn clue where to get those?

 

Yup the Airdog is good, 24 valve IP's don't like low fuel pressure thats why I suggested the warning light in addition to the guage. You can probably get new badges from Dodge $$

 

LMC truck sell them fairly resonable, so just goodle LMC Truck and browse the catolog you can even get the newer bages.

An air dog is a good aftermarket pump, just make sure you never fall below 5 psi! never below 5 psi, at least not for long..

 

where could i get a low fp warning light?

thanks guys! will look into re-badging it. looking too plain atm. also need towing mirriors.. cant have the little flippers for my wide loads of hay

 

on ebay you can get a set of power tow mirrors for about 199 bucks then get the brackets for anothet 14 bucks and pull the panels off and the three bolts and done.. the guages might already have a warning light set up not sure though.

 

yea thats where i bought my fords mirrors pretty cheap. 142 for the set

theres something next to the guages. let me pull up the pic for u to see. ive never had guages which could be the reason my 6.0 broke so many times. but oh well

 

Thats the tweeter for your sound system. Should be one on the other side as well.
