Depends on what kind of work you can do yourself. If you know how to build the trans it's worth just getting the kit and building it. It'll be significantly cheaper. If not, and you know how to drop the trans out and replace it, you're better off just going with the trans so you don't have to pay somebody labor. My trans has suncoast internals and has held up nicely so far with my hp for 15k miles or so... Good luck !!!

Like kingbrad said, if you can do the work, get the kit.

Depends on the trucks hp and what you intend on doing with it... If you're not going to be sled pulling or drag racing with hard locked shifts, just do a suncoast extreme rebuild kit, maybe think about billet input or valve body upgrades if you have the funds but not really necessary

Do the rebuild with a good valve body and torque converter.
