Default lly head swap

So i heard you can take the lly heads and stick them on the lb7 and then you can run the vgt turbo. I was just curious if anyone had done this? And what it would take to do it. Wouldnt you have t swap over the ecu and wiring harness also?

More than likely you would have to swap the ECM over.... the only advantage i see from that is the injectors.... it would be really tough to do tho, the ECM probably wouldnt be happy with many things....

there has been one guy who just straight swapped them over, but he had a 03-04 model

there is a huge electrical difference between the two. the lb7 uses 96v to actuate the injectors and lly use 48v iirc.

the wire harness is different and the computer as well.

and if you have a 01-02 dmax forget it, you have so much more electronics to deal with then just a straight ecm/ficm swap.
