Default 2001 nv4500 swap

im planning on doing a nv4500 swap to get rid of my 47re i dont wanna build my auto and i plan on keeping the truck so im gunna go for the 5 speed. the only thing im worried about is the electrical... i kno there is a lot of stuff out there on this subject but im more worried about 2001 specific electrical... anyone who has some advice would be appreciated. thanks...

Try posting this in the year specific cummins section. This question has been asked a million times as well. Try to use the search button before posting sometime, most of the time the question has been asked before.

As said above, we have lots of good information on this site. Usually when I am searching for something, I do a huge search of the site and if nothing turns up, post a new thread so we can discuss the topic and will then have that information for the next guy who searches that topic.

I hate to be a *****. But the time and money and labor involved in doing the swap..... Just build the auto. You'll be glad you did.

I did this exact swap and all I had to do was put another plug on so I could hook up my reverse lights, tape up the rest of the wires and tuck them out of the way. They are right about the money, it is expensive, but I finally got P----d Off enough from rebuilding the last time it went out, well the rest is history. I think it cost me around $3500. Oh, I had to hook up the n-safety switch too.
