The Evolution of SpeedThe DirtyMax drag truck has been around for quite some time, yet it keeps evolving. We’ve watched owner Brad Makinen take it from its maiden 11-second pass down to high 8-second elapsed times in the quarter-mile. In fact, the best pass ever for this 3,100-pound ’99 Chevrolet C1500 is 8.80 seconds at 153 mph, with an unreal 1.15-second 60-foot time. Keep in mind that the DirtyMax is also a fullsize truck (albeit a fiberglass one) and does not run nitrous oxide.
