My IH DT466 daily driver rebuild...
It looks really nice!
Take the time you need. Rome wasn't built in a day!
If that truck was sitting for 15 years- it is in a remarkable good condition.
Good, that you take care about it.
I would love to have something like this!

...cuz I'm the man in charge of the yard at the shop...I'm going to find a picture of that Tom and Jerry cartoon and do the dog on the door similar to he cartoon...so Yard Dog out

...you need to get that rig back into shape...does that truck have a dump bed?...it would be great to see you give that truck life again and add a few modern features
I have given up looking for a replacement dash so I am just going to redo it in fiberglass and recover it in some nice leather...I will post the whole process once the new mirrors are finished...also considering doing up some nice door panel covers to add to the creature comforts...it will take a couple of months to make the interior nice and new.
A binder is slang for an international(international harvester ,corn "binder"),I have a 92 9400 series with 60 series detroit and a 95 4900 series with a dt 466 275 hp and a 91/95 4900/8100 project truck with a fresh dt530 300hp will get you some pics of the fleet when I get a chance
The DT466 is actually my favorite engine. The rotary pump isn't quite the greatest for performance, but still pretty good. That's all stuff that can be replaced later. It has plenty of potential to break stuff.
YJjunker, you replaced a 466 with a 530 just to get it to 300hp? If you take the pump to a good injection shop, they can make it flow enuf to be well past 300hp. Then add a better turbo, and it's pimped.
