It looks really nice!
Take the time you need. Rome wasn't built in a day!
If that truck was sitting for 15 years- it is in a remarkable good condition.
Good, that you take care about it.
I would love to have something like this!

Thanks for the kind reply...today I picked up my new mirrors and got the new fuel filters installed, my friend said to fill them up with ATF and it did wanders...it smoked for a bit then cleaned right up like he said it would...the engine took 5 gallons of oil doing the oil change with 2 oil filters...tomorrow I will remove the mirror mounts get them cleaned up and painted so they look new with the new mirrors...every new journey down this big truck road is very exciting for me...I do like all the responses I have got so far and would love to hear more...like I said before...the next pictures will be of some fresh paint with some new parts...until next time...Oh!, almost forgot...my boss gave me a name for my new truck..."Yard Dog" is what I will name my new truck!...cuz I'm the man in charge of the yard at the shop...I'm going to find a picture of that Tom and Jerry cartoon and do the dog on the door similar to he cartoon...so Yard Dog out

FarmDiesel...you need to get that rig back into shape...does that truck have a dump bed?...it would be great to see you give that truck life again and add a few modern features

I have given up looking for a replacement dash so I am just going to redo it in fiberglass and recover it in some nice leather...I will post the whole process once the new mirrors are finished...also considering doing up some nice door panel covers to add to the creature comforts...it will take a couple of months to make the interior nice and new.

The only info I have on the 3208 is it's probably 210hp, and you will find there's not too many fans of the 3208. It's no powerhouse, but it'll do it reliably. Try it str8 piped.

The DT466 is actually my favorite engine. The rotary pump isn't quite the greatest for performance, but still pretty good. That's all stuff that can be replaced later. It has plenty of potential to break stuff.

YJjunker, you replaced a 466 with a 530 just to get it to 300hp? If you take the pump to a good injection shop, they can make it flow enuf to be well past 300hp. Then add a better turbo, and it's pimped.
