Thanks for the nice avatar 19psi...hope to see you visit again soon

I hope to have more pics coming soon...I will get some of the interior and the engine to see what a really big motor looks like

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I must say how excited I am to have this bag **s truck...I removed the 2 oil and 2 fuel filters today and went down to autozone and I could only order the fuel filters and have to go in tomorrow to order the 2 oil filters...their computer didn't even have my truck listed but they said I can come in tomorrow morning to get the oil filter ordered cuz their main computer was down, how lame...anyway I was under the truck and noticed how much room I have to work on anything I want...I have been under the hood of most smaller diesels and everything is pretty cramped

So I have a list together for the flatbed and will be calling that in sometime this week and will be ordering even more LED running lights...all together I will have about 60 running lights or more when I am finished...the major time consuming work will be actually hooking up all the extra lights...I don't want just any dump truck...I want my truck to really stand out from the rest, that is why I have invested so much into my running lights...I look at other commercial dump trucks and I see the bare basics...mine is more personal then that...I want people to see my truck and say WOW

I will get some more pics up tomorrow..promise

Thanks for look'n

So today I have more pics for you to enjoy...I spent about an hour cleaning some of the road grime off the frame and undercarriage...after most of the road grime is removed I will blast it with a hot water power washer...it looks like I will be spending about a week of my spare time under the truck doing detail work...once this is all done, then replacing any worn or leaky parts will be much easier and cleaner have a nice clean area to work around...in the picture you can see how 30yrs of not cleaning your truck will look like...now mind you this is a dump truck so traveling dirt roads and mud was a normal work day in the Winter and during the summer the fan kicked up a ton of dust and stuck to everything!...I went out at lunch today and bought some oil and ordered the oil filters...my oil change cost me about $150 bucks...I'm glad that I won't be putting a ton of miles on this truck every year at those oil change costs not to mention I'll have to plan ahead to get all the filters ordered...the semi truck I use to drive took 12 gallons of oil so I'm doing better then they are...anyway I look forward to sharing my IH rebuild whether or not anyone here is that interested as my thread seems to have died off...I have a few supporters on board with my rebuild and being that my truck is so different I didn't really expect a big response and wanted to thank all that have responded to my thread cuz I do like to read every response.

brindle_bull, BIGREDGOAT and Death85e...thank you all for your nice comments

I have been looking around and haven't found other IH trucks on DB thus far...still learning how to use the search feature...so, I really do like the website and diesel owners are the bestest, kindest people on the planet

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask

yj junker and death85e...I appreciate your interest and glad to see you here

yj junker, what is a binder?...could you clue me in on a picture?...wanted to update as well...lots and lots of road grime...30yrs worth...I've been crape'n and crape'n the whole front end and tranny...I don't see any serious oil leaks so for so it looks like it will clean up fine and time will tell...spent about 2 hours again tonight cleaning the under carriage...then I will spray some heavy degrease'r and another power wash followed by some paint, so the next pictures will be some nice clean fresh painted ones...picked up the fuel filters and waiting on the oil filters which will be in tomorrow...I'll change the oil and get it started back up...one thing at a time...my boss told me that the truck has sat for at least 15yrs...it runs too good!

On another subject I was thinking of going 16' on the bed length...my buddy races the enduro class here and he said that he wanted me to haul his car to the track...so I pulled out the tape measure and it looks like I will need a 16' bed to accommodate most full size cars and trucks...it looks like I'll be adding another 4' to my bed...I'm glad he said something before I ordered the metal

To all those out their interested in my build please keep the comments coming
