im a 7.3 guy, but id take a 5.9 in a heartbeat.... they are still 100X better than something that uses spark plugs. haha

 

if they start every morning no matter the breed, im pretty damn proud of them

 

I would say go with the 5.9 its a great engine with lots of aftermarket support

i had a 94 powerlessstroke and now i have a 99 ctd the 5.9 is the big hammer for sure! had problems with both the ford i couldnt keep U joints or carrier bearings in it the cummins the dredded no fuel pressure with that said i will buy another cummins before i will buy anything used, but the new ford looks like a killer truck with a powerhouse of a motor in it so if i had the money to buy new it would prob a new ford!
