How To Reset/Remap Powerstroke Computer?
I have a 2003 Powerstroke that I've just added a hydrogen generator to. However, I'm showing NO increase in MPG.
Does anyone know if I need to reset/remap the computer to start showing an increase in mileage because of the HHO gas going into the engine? Will disconnecting the batteries for a few minutes cause it to "learn" these new parameters?
I bought the truck used and don't have any manuals for it.
Thanks,
Firejoe

Maybe you can get the dealer to reset it for a fee, but they might flag your truck too, have you done any modifications to it besides the HHO? chip, tuner?
Are you calculating the mpg by hand?
Got anymore info on this hydrogen generator, i got some family up north who want to use this tech.

to reset the mpg
If you have an electronic mpg cal. in your over head console, you should be able to reset it by pressing select and mode at the same time. it will start over from zero and start going up gradually. its surprizingly accurate. it always read the same as what i calculated with my 38" tires and lift.
