has the HPOP ever been replaced? I said a couple posts ago that this kinda sounds like a weak oil system or a possibly failing IDM or IPR. Can you get a scanner on it?

it would really help if we could see what your IPR % is with key on engine off, at idle, and going down the highway when it's doing it. I would also like to see what your fuel pressure is, along with your ICP (injection control pressure).

Has the IDM ever been messed with or opened to check for moisture?

when the truck starts to bog and slow down "like the brakes get slammed on", do you hear a whooshing noise from the exhaust or under the floor? And has the EBP sensor (exhaust back pressure) ever been replaced?

well what's the temp outside? 7.3's are a cold bitch, if they sit and idle long enough for coolant temp to drop below a certain point (i dont know what the limit is), they'll kick up in high idle to get back up to temp, my fathers excursion will do the same thing even after running for 4 HOURS.

any info on anything with the high pressure oil system? Or codes?

Have you checked for fuel airation? Doesnt happen very often with the newer 7.3 but had a tendency with the old ones. Its possible. But it does sound more like an oil issue with the h/p side, maybe ohm out the injectors at the harness?

ok another update well i took it to my local diesel shop and they replaced the oil pressure sensor or something and that fixed the idle problems. and idling and dieing frequently. but it still dies when i turn the wipers on delay. My diesel shop ordered me a new wiper motor do i need it?

Oil pressure? That's what your ICP sensor is (Injection Control Pressure). Find out exactly what they replaced

Well, your wiper motor does use quite a bit of amperage. Unless it has an internal short (which should pop a fuse) or its drawing an INSANE amount of current (which should still pop a main fuse), and the motor is working fine, i DO NOT think it's a motor. I think it's more likely something to do with the multifunction switch that controls your wipers and signals. Those cause a bunch of wacky issues.

can you give me what options the truck has (power locks, windows, etc...)? I'm going to look up a wiring schematic and dig a little bit

From what I'm seeing, there's a run/park relay for the wiper motor inside the multifunction switch that is hot in accessory or run.

also with the multifunction switch what do i need to do with it like have it tested or replaced and yes it was the ICP.
