Default block heater

so my block heater isnt working and i wasnt sure about a few things

1) how hard is the swap them

2) is there any other brand out there (other than ford) that yall think is a good brand

here in tx it doesnt normally get that cold but once or twice a year but i just want to swap it so that if for some reason it ever gets cold or i move that i can have it and not have to worry about anything

check the plug. on mine the ground wire broke right behind the plug and it stopped working.the heater is actually in the oil cooler. there is a orange plug right by the oil filter and a small metal clip for the ground. check that too.

Easy to swap. Right next to the oil filter, just above it.

More than likely its just the plug.

drain the coolant first, and make sure is cold when you pull the block heater. the fluid form the engine block will run out once the block heater is pulled.
