block heater
so my block heater isnt working and i wasnt sure about a few things
1) how hard is the swap them 2) is there any other brand out there (other than ford) that yall think is a good brand here in tx it doesnt normally get that cold but once or twice a year but i just want to swap it so that if for some reason it ever gets cold or i move that i can have it and not have to worry about anything |
check the plug. on mine the ground wire broke right behind the plug and it stopped working.the heater is actually in the oil cooler. there is a orange plug right by the oil filter and a small metal clip for the ground. check that too.

Easy to swap. Right next to the oil filter, just above it.
More than likely its just the plug. |
drain the coolant first, and make sure is cold when you pull the block heater. the fluid form the engine block will run out once the block heater is pulled.
