Default 125 ft block heater extension cord?

Hey guys, noobie here Anyway I'm picking up a 94 F250 with a factory turbo 7.3 idi tomorrow and I was wondering what your opinions on running a 100' + a 25' (both 14/3) extension cord for my block heater. And no I can't park any closer as my parking spot isn't any closer to the house. Thanks in advanced!

I don't see any issue with that. I'm running a couple of ext. cords to get to my dodge.

Alright thanks guys, I was kinda worried that they would be a little small gauge wise. I might end up going with a 50 footer instead of the 25' 'cause I'll end up keeping that one in the truck anyways. Do you think it should start at -10C(15F) on glowplugs alone?

It should, but I would plug it in anyway if it's possible. No point making your truck struggle in the cold if it doesn't have to.

As long as your block heater isn't more than 1000 Watts, and the connections are good, you should be fine.

If you had a 1500 Watt circulating block heater, that is a different story.
