I have a 2002 f250. When i run my ts on 6 ( stock tuning) The trans seems to slam into 3rd gear. It doesnt slip just seems like something isnt right. I turn the chip down its fine. I have a new torque convertor to go in. An am gonna do a john woods valve body, possibly a tugger shift kit, a billet input shaft, deep pan, an a ts controller. My question is should i go ahead an do a upgraded rebuild kit? If so what kind? An can anyone help me out with trans pump mod. Ive read an read on the forum. Called racer x an didnt get any help. Thanks

 

Are you sure its going into 3rd and not just the TC locking?

 

Sounds to me like that new torque converter needs to go in sooner rather than later.
