i got a rebuilt tranny with around 50k on it. Its not built pretty much stock rebuild according to the paperwork that came on it when i bought the truck. i have a temp gauge and i was wondering what were the normal temp ranges for city driving, towing, cruising should be.

Ya No.... My trans temp gauge doesn't even start until 100...

OP, somewhere between 130-180 depending on a lot of things.

General rule of thumb is 80-100 above ambient temps...

Mine is "built" and runs 180 in town I am assuming because there is no air flow and 150 on the freeway because of the air flow.
