Hi guys. My name is Hayden, just purchased an 03 2500 with 5.9
It feels like a slug to drive, not sure if its a trans issue or what?

It will rev but doesn't go anywhere in the lower gears, auto trans , the turbo doesn't Realy spool in lower gears like the trans is slipping and there is no load on it. In top gear it pulls ok but it's a luggie tourque pull.

Another thing is when you rev it in park the engine rpm will not drop back to idle straight away.

Anyone had these symptoms or can point me in the right direction ?

Sounds like Trq converter slipping to me.

Common Rails never drop RPM right away when you rev it in stock form.

 

Try changing the Governor Pressure Solenoid and Transducer.
