Default Looking at an 00 7.3

Im looking at buying a 2000 F-250 extended cab long box 5 speed trans with a lift and 37's the guy has a 4 inch off the turbo too duel stacks don't think he has a tune in it right now but im sure it has seen one in its life time from the looks of it. The body is in pretty sweet shape from what the pics look like it although it has 270K on the clock. Just want some info on what everyone thinks of there 7.3 and if those kms are just gonna cause the truck to become a wallet drainer from breaking down, from what ive herd the 7.3 is a pretty reliable motor any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Maintenance is key on any vehicle... With those kind of miles, I would go over it with a fine tooth comb..

I would ask if any of the unit bearings in the front axle have been replaced, also the transmission is a weak link as well. Be sure to ask about the maintenance especially oil and fuel filter changes.
