Default '02 PSD P1316 trouble!!!!

'02 7.3l diesel headed up the continental divide to denver when what seemed like a bad load of fuel hit the injectors, the truck started bucking, sputtering, and surging but not dying. we made it to denver but the truck runs really rough off and on, hard starting like a CPS but running fine until under a load it seems like its missing on at least 2 cylinders but NO loss of power or abnormal smoke. scanned it and it came up with P1316 IDM codes detected, PO340-Cam position sensor (just replaced weeks ago), and P1211-Injection Control Pressure above/below desired. I really dont want to replace the IDM. this truck has 183k and has been a real POS the past year. trying to get to moab this weekend hauling the camper, so any help is appriciated!!

Check the UVC harnesses on both sides, more then likely one or more us burned causing the issue. Check them both on top of the valve covers and under the valve covers.

The CPS is from changing it and the ICP is from your tuner...

will do! its inconsistent though, when its cold it starts like chit, but runs fine, and when it warms up and is under a load, it misses. do you think corrosion could have burned up the UCV harnesses? are they expensive? thanks for the help!

Its the first thing I would check... I have had several trucks that would run fine cold, but once warm would start missing, and they were the UVC or the main harness going to the motor.

took LH valve cover off, no damage whatsoever or burned connections, checked RH connection without taking the cover off (losing daylight). when I put it all back together I noticed the air filter was almost completely plugged so we ran it w/o the filter and it ran fine, no missing. also when we went to plug the UCV harness back in on the RH side, a wire came loose from the harness so we plugged it back in, could that have been the problem?, because the filter being dirty doesnt justify the idm codes or missing problem. we might try to scan it again, try to clear the codes and check under the LH valve cover if the problem continues. I appriciate the help!
