im posting for my dad. he has a 99 F-450 with 7.3 i think the trucks all stock as it was a service truck before he got it. its crewcab with automatic. it idles rough when started and it sometimes wont start at all. blows white smoke at first wether its cold or hot. he's replaced 6 of the 8 injectors already becuase it has no power like it used to its just over 200000 miles i believe and the turbo is just been replaced. it used to be a pullin champ now its not even pulling at all and its not geting anything for fuel mileage...anybody have any ideas? im completely clueless i told him replace the last two but im afraid that won't be enough.... thanks for the help!

 

Why are we replacing injectors without checking anything else? Injectors are the last thing to go out and replace without something pointing to that direction.

Do a buzz test, a cylinder contrbution test and a KOER test. If you dont know how to do these tests then take it somewhere and get them done. After that report back.

 

well we had a mech. hook it up to a scan tool and he said a couple injectors were going out and we replaced them and then a couple more droped. it miss's bad so i believe the injectors are droping but i wanna know if there could be other cuas's the truck has like 2600000 miles so its seen some use and as it was a work truck for a company im sure it was turned on and off very frequently so they just may be socoming to the wear and tear and the turbo went out becuase the air intake lid was missing the filter was shot and debre got in and destroyed the intake turbine
