Default Looking for a 7.3 excursion, what to do

In my area these are getting super scarce and the low milers are bringing like 4-5k over KBB. There is one close with 336k, what do I do ? should I be scared of all those miles on the chassis Im sure for the money saved I can rebuild a motor and tranny but what else to look for? Should I hold out for one with 80-150k. I wanna keep one and drive it at least 100k before maybe putting a 12v cummins into it.

Those miles are not that bad assuming the truck is in good shape. But truthfully, you wont find a "good deal" on excursions. I've been trying for a few years . They hold their value like crazy. I wouldnt be scared of a 336k mile 7.3 assuming it starts/runs/drives great.

My wifes excursion is creeping up on 200k with no issues. A tranny right at 100k, and some front end work. Other then that and upgrades its been great.
