Default filter question

i bought a fuel bowl rebuild kit so i can stop my diesel leak until i can get the money to delete the fuel bowl (moneys tight and the kit was only 20 bucks) my question is after i rebuild the fuel bowl, it there any reason for me to put a new filter in, or should i just leave it out? my thinking is that without the filter, i will be able to push a little more fuel do to the lack of restriction? and i also just dont want to buy the filter if i dont have to. what are yalls thoughts on this?

oh and i have a air dog II so the fuel is getting filtered.

You need to put a filter in it, it is part of the bowl and the fuel gets "directed" by the bowl.

You will not push anymore or less fuel with the filter in there.
