My original trans lasted 138,000, 2nd lasted 62000, the current 3rd trans has 56,000. Done trans service today & replaced filter, magnet has 1/8" wide steel fragments attached, I've changed fluid every 25000 to 30000 since truck was new. Is there a redesigned transmission next to bullet proof ? I do tow a trailer around that weights 5,000 lbs that has my welding equipment attached, about 25 percent of the time. When the 3rd trans was installed, a new large cooler was also installed. This is getting very expensive. Does anyone have some advice?
