Default block heater

Hey yall. got another goofy question. block heater only heats the oil right? So why is my truck so smooth starting with it plugged in over night and rough start/idle in the aftrenoon? Thanks again this is the best site i found

if this is the best site for powerstrokes you have found then you have not looked very hard.
