2001 F-250 transmission slip or TPS?
I have a 2001 F-250 with and automatic transmission and while driving down the road the truck periodically starts to cut out. When the problem started I did the "field test" (hold the throttle at 1000 rpm's and watch for the rpms to fall) and it past. I want to say its the torque converter but a lot of people say it's the transmission.
Since it is just periodically I would say that it is the TPS. I had a problem like that and sprayed it with some cleaner and I haven't had another problem since.
Plus it is always good to start with the cheap stuff haha.
