F250 7.3 winter oil?
New to the Diesel world here. Need to change my oil soon. was wondering what type of oil y'all use? synthetic or non? someone had suggested i use 15-40.. any ideas? thanks.
I use Synthetic 5w-40 for the winter oil.
If its mild in your are (32' and up) you will be fine. Much between 32-0 and lower is where big benefits are in thinner oil.
If you run thinner oil make sure that the motor is in sound condition. (Like no leaks). Synthetic will show them real quick.
I have better fuel economy and quicker warm up cycles from using better the wal mart quality products.
