I Read That If You Have A 95 Or Older They Do TSI Testing. Depending On What County Your In In Texas Decides Weather They Do Emissions Testing And Mine Dosent. But Ima Probly Take The Stock Pipe In For Inspection Then Jus Straight Pipe It Till Next Time Comes. Does A Cat Really Muffle It That Much? I Could Jus Run A Cat Back On It That Would Solve My Emissions Problem.

cat doesn't muffle it. i don't think they care about how loud it is. they just check how much smoke it puts out. what mods do you have?

probably not much. even straight pipe on stock exhaust doesn't make a huge difference...

95 or older is OBD I. with trucks that old the emissions testing equipment cannot just "plug in" (it can but its all OBD II now). in that case, diesel's still get run on the dyno, go to a "snap throttle" test where they pretty much floor it once every 5 seconds to really see how much smoke your gonna put out, or a two speed idle (tsi, which is done on some dually's).

and no a cat on a diesel will not raise with your particulates, if anything itll help lower them. plus still having the stock pipe really isnt changing much.

your dyno's will do horsepower??? ours wont even do that, they just make it so it simulates driving down a flat road at 30mph

i'd be concerned hahahaha

it kinda did horse power. but when everything was made by george washington and not maintained. it's not going to be very accurate. but where i went does 20, 40, 60, 70, 80 mph on flat then with the brakes hard on the drums supposedly simulates a 9% grade. and at that point they go wide open to try and make it smoke. yeah when the lady told me that, she said: not bad for 12 years old! are you kidding me?
