starting problem

Default starting problem

I just bought a 2002 f250 crew cab 7.3 with 189000 miles now that I have gotten it home if the truck sets for long peroids of time it takes along time to turn over and once it does start it hazes whit smoke not sure what to look at ?

Check the glow plug relay. With a test light. It looks like a starter solenoid. Make sure it is powering the gp's. Its under the hood and sits to the left of the fuel filter.

double check your gp's themselves, can do that with a continuity tester at the 4 under valve cover wiring harness clips. its been a while since I had that problem, but I think it is the two outermost terminals in each connector that go to your gp's. check them to ground. if there is no continuity to ground, they are fried.
