EBP valve switch?
If it was an EBP eliminate you saw it just helps the turbo work more efficient due too less restriction, I simply removed mine and plugged the holes where the shaft was with small freez plugs and removed the actuator and pluged the hole in the pedistal with a 1/8 inch pipe plug. the downfall to this deal is at temps below about 55 the truck doesnt want too warm up or cools way down within about 10mins of idle. you also have to buy a EBP eliminator that plugs into your wire harness or you will experience alot of stalling under acceleration. No, truthfully the trouble of getting the turbo off wasnt worth it. I saw a little more smoke and a little bit more whistle from the turbo. The only reason I even did it was because I already had too take the turbo off too change the pedistal o-rings. I will caution you that out of the 4 bolts holding the turbo too the collector on the back of it I broke off 3. They are hard too get too and they seize up. I worked on mine on sat and sun every weekend and I had a month of downtime fixing everything that broke and stripped.
An ebpv switch can be installed to use the valve as an exhaust brake. Closing the valve would make a distinct "hiss". There is more involved than just a switch to make a practical exhaust brake.
