Default PCM code

Im lookin to get a Tony Wildman chip and it is askin for a pcm code. what exactly is a pcm code and do i even need it for the chip?

Yes Your PCM is your pickups computer and to get a chip designed specifically for your pickup they will need your info.

There should be a sticker on the outside of the computer that shows the code... It will be (for example) PMT2 or NVK3 or something like that.

Those will not be your codes, I can not recall the OBS ones off the top of my head.

not to sound like a dumb *** but where exactly is the computer at that has the code on it

If you look under ur hood and look at your firewall it's all those wires going in the closest to ur fender. It's annoying to pull it out of our obs trucks

yup... its a real PIA on the OBS... but your IDM is right there for the taking...

Might try PHP as well... Bill has been doing this longer then anyone...
