Default Hard to start

I have a 2001 dodge ram 3500. The truck is hard to start. I have to bump the starter at least twice before the truck will start. I have replaced the one return line that connects to the back of the head to the T block. What else could be the problem??????

What is the fuel pressure to the ip, if you do not have a fp gauge you might as well buy yourself a new ip. It is something that needs to be monitored.
Fuel more than likely is draining back due to either a bad vp/ip or a bad lp

Lp-lift pump
Ip- injection pump
Vp- well I hope you know that one

if i park the truck nose down hill it will start right away. didn't know if any of my return lines was the problem or not. who ever had the truck before me replaced a section of the one line running to the tank with a rubber line.. cause i can smell diesel sometimes after the has been run.

What line is it? Return, feed?
Downhill and it starts fine shows a drain back issue. Is it a factory lp?
