Default looking at buying a 7.3

Looking at a 1997 power stroke 7.3 has 240,000 miles. 8inch lift on 35's. Has 6 position switch. Trans command... Any issues to watch out for? Gonna go test drive it today,,, guy wants 8500$ condition is OK

Test drive it... Drives OK. Didn't feel any hard shift felt smooth actually. Found out has a bigger downpipe on it too... Drive door and pass door not working. Handles ... Motor dirty as hell... Gonna go back check it out again before buying it... Dash is kinda cracked couple places.

Okay 350 is great no twin I beam, it's funny that people don't realize they should clean a truck before trying to sale, they are great trucks, has the trans been rebuild? Something to look into with 38" tires and 240k but throw down an offer of like 7000 you know? If that's something you are interested in.

Yeah I agree some younger kid owns it so.. I asked that ??? He said motor and trans was rebuilt by previous owner... At 100k miles.. But no proof of paper work. I was thinking of that offering 7k... Besides that truck is good. Has pillar gauges. But wiring looks shitty which I'll redo right way... Any other things look out for? I tried that 6pos switch didn't feel difference...

Yeah i think for what you described about the truck $8,500 is quite a bit to be asking. Just my opinion.
