Default 7.3 cps

I need a new cps and I've heard bad things about all of them but I know Grey is bad and everyone told me to get international and this is what I found

https://puredieselpower.com/ford/improved-international-cps-for-94-03-7.3l-ford-powerstroke-diesel.html#/product/82

I've also heard born Warner is good but I don't know?

I don't know... That has confused me... Especially since the picture you posted me is different that what I got from International.

The old, outdated, bad & recalled Ford CPS was grey colored. Mine went out before the Ford recall. I bought another, but it was another old grey one...

For a while there, people where saying the international one was better. So, even though I had just replaced mine, I went out and got the one that International one that they specifically recommended... and the color was blue. There was also a shim kit for it.

Then Ford had the recall. When my truck went in for something else, they pulled my blue one out and replaced it with the Ford-approved black one. The blue one is still in my console as a spare...

Seems to me that the International Parts we were going after years ago, where one's from the high torque 7.3l T-444E... Other parts we got from International, because those were the same part, but International charged less for them than Ford did.

I just replaced it with a black one from borg Warner and it idles perfect but the rpms drop down to 500 when brake down to 8 mph and stop. My transmission is starting to go so I don't know if it's that or something else?

Mine is 675 RPM idle in Neutral... so 500 rpm in drive is not out of the ordinary. My brakes have more (than yours) of a load on it when I brake hard... as mine is a hydraboost brake assist through pressure from the power steering pump. Your's is a vacuum assist through the vacuum pump.

I used NAPAs Echlin line for my CPS and its runs great. I work there so I didn't pay much of course, but NAPA Echlin parts aren't bad if you can't get your hands on the International brand.
