Default 97 Powerstroke

Have had very few issues with this truck until yesterday!
1997 7.3 Powerstroke 165,000 5 speed 4wd F250 Standard Cab
4.10 posi 4" lift 37" BFG's
Truck has run flawlessly...filled up rear tank with BP diesel yesterday afternoon and within 30 minutes of stop/go driving it went from a rough idle to barely pulling itself uphill to not even able to rev to 2000 rpm in granny.
Changed fuel filters 3 times...changed back to front tank (still had fuel left from previous fill)/ filled filter w/ fresh fuel each time to eliminate water in fuel possibilities.
Changed the CPS. No change...
Now, it will crank, white raw fuel out the tail pipe, fires turns dark gray then clears, runs for 10 to 15 seconds then dies. Will restart with same results.
The fuel pump is dribbling out the bottom only when running...losing prime?
Troubleshoot it fellow Diesel Burners...

worst thing to think, but, sounds like the most likely possibility.... the dripping from the pump might be loss of prime. Question: would the seals, O-rings, etc fail and leak that quickly if you got a tankful of gasoline? If so, a loss of prime, leading to undrivability might actually be a blessing-in-disguise.
