i have a 95 f-250 with the 7.3 I recently changed an injector that I thought was bad. turns out I replaced the wrong injector (I took it in had diagnostics done on it afterwards). So i want to know if I put the old injector back in can I reuse the copper washer, also can I pull out the new injector and put it into a diffrent cylinder and reuse the copper washer, it has only idled for about an hour and driven for about 10 miles. If I cant reuse them can I buy just the washer anywhere without having to buy all the o-rings as well?

 

No. The copper washer is a crush washer. Do not reuse. You can buy them by themselves at riffraff diesel... I keep a pack of coppers in my toolbox.

 

remember when you pull a injector to replace the o rings.

 

Its not necessary to replace them all really... Its good practice but can get expensive. The copper crush washer needs replaced every time though.

 

I would not pull injectors without changing o rings. Saves a lot of headache later on.
