Buy a dodge or a chevy. I have an 08 king ranch 6.4. I have not been able to drive it more than 3 hours in 2 months. Ford finally offered me an xplan. I want my money back. I have been all over the 2011. If you have a severe problem with that truck you can't drop the oil pan without pulling the engine. I guarantee the new rear ends won't last and you are a guinea pig on the entire drivetrain. Dodge and Chevy at least you can drop an oil pan. My last problem the big turbo cratered . They also replaced injectors and the fuel pump. They forgot to change the oil, but told me they did. I had waited six weeks for the truck to get fixed. I drove it 200 miles it is crap!! They also mashed my ac coil and broke it so the freon leaked out.

Buy a Dodge it has a real engine. If anybody wants to join me in a class action suit against ford for the 6.4 crap let me know.

A diesel engine should last 500,000 miles not less than 70k. Look on youtube and watch
Enough said..thanks

I am very impressed with Ford and the "multiple impeller turbo" and am curious to see how it does. Unfortunately, with any new design come new problems, hopefully Ford will be able to work them out without too many issues.

heres the thing.. john deere used the same idea of a twin impeller turbo many years ago... and you know what the problem was? they couldnt get them to stay together more than 70 hours (averaged) at high rpm. so think about this.. when people start turning them up with more heat (fuel) and higher rpms... do you think this turbo will stay together? i doubt it. its an unbalanced situation.. and although it is an ENGENIOUS idea for lower rpm application, i see trucks cruising down the highway all their lives having shorter than normal lives. Just my .02.. have a good one.

Did you know that technology advances every year? Better fabrication is a small part of advancement.
