I've now test driven 2 of them - a king ranch and a lariat. both very nice. I recorded on average 21 MPG on the visual computer - not sure if that's close to hand calc's or not but it is way better than my buddies '08.

I urea injection set up is really nice, the stuff is cheap and a tank of that stuff goes every oil change at 20,000 km's so that's not a big deal - it is super quiet and super clean - i couldn't get it to so much a puff out the back at all. Far cry from my oil burner, that's for sure.

Over all, very impressed and would consider it if I had the money for sure.

I just don't like the idea of adding urea to it

Well I have now made a comparison between the dodge and the ford and having been a dodge guy for a long time it is difficult to say but the ford is a much nicer truck, hands down. I would take a King Ranch over the Laramine any day, especially given the sticker price and crappy financing rates that are available here.

The sticker price on the KR was $78K and the Dodge was $71K - granted they don't sell for that but after spending a painful 90 minutes at the local dodge dealer and only finding out that I would receive a whopping $13,500 for my 2002 Cummins TRADE at the Dodge dealer I just about told the guy to take a ****, although I am sure my expersion said it for me, the double super black exhaust from the rear of the truck probably didn't help either (LOL!).

Adding urea every few thousand miles seems pretty menial especially when it helps multiple times over for fuel mileage compared to the first round of "clean" diesel.

I can remove the DPF & get better MPG, BUT can you remove the urea from the truck & still be able to drive it ???

That's the thing, you don't need to because the DPF doesn't plug with the DEF added. This is the difference between dodge (the DPF sucks) and the Ford 6.7L
