06 f350, any opinion on doing a converter switch

 

Why? You can get tunes that lock the converter up. It is possible to do on one, but I can't say I'd recommend it. If you flip the switch too early you will be burning up your TC. I'd let the trans do it's thing personally.

Do you have any other mods on the truck? I see it blowing smoke, but I'm assuming you're not using an SCT. That will be the only way to tune your trans, and it's really safer than NOT using an SCT.

 

i got the sct with extreme race custom tune from innovative, 180cc injectors from rcd, volant ram air kit, cfm loudmouth kit, stage 2 ats trans and converter, arp head studs

my sct gives me an option to lock in 1-2-3 but not when im using the custom tune

 

Because it's written in the custom tune, you shouldn't have to change anything on the programmer. How can it lock it in 1? It would stall coming up to a stop light.

180cc injectors and a stock turbo?

Hows that ATS trans treating you?

 

the trans is holding up very well, i have no complaints at all..sometimes it will chirp 4th gear depending on the pavement.

and yeah stock turbo for right now, plan on gettin a bigger one hopefully by the end of winter
