Default SCT Tuner transmission question

I am just wondering if it is alright to feel my transmission shifting it doesnt shift real hard but a big difference from when there is no tune and I put it on the performance tune just dont want to tear up my tranny. Does anyone know if it is normal?

That is BETTER for the tranny. Clean crisp firm shifts. Obviously slamming gears isn't good either, but quick and firm is what you want. They actually slip quite a bit from the factory, as it smooths out the shift (the torque converters) and it sells trucks. Most guys buying a new truck don't want it slamming gears. When you start throwing power at them, those quick shifts are what you want.

You can always adjust this too on the SCT, change shift firmness up or down a certain %.
